We are on week 4 of no school. My 10 year old, who is my heart, my sweet sweet girl, my mini-me, but also my extremely rebellious and against the grain child……refuses to do her homework. Week 4 of no school and this week is spring break technically. They have 3 weeks of school work where they need to complete approximately 15 pages of work each week. I have asked each week and tried to force her. We have accomplished maybe 1 or 2 pages so far. She always finds a way out, she disappears and I cave and let her get away with it. I am horrible at discipline.
She is daddy’s girl and will always do anything he asks. I can argue with her for an hour to put on socks and she will stand her ground with me, then daddy will walk through the room and say “hey baby girl put your socks on” and her response is always “yes daddy”. I am ok with this. I am happy she loves her daddy and minds him.
All three weeks have to be turned in this Thursday and she will get the next packets. So tonight, I called in reinforcements, the two of them are at the dining room table working on homework as I type this.
I will let you know who sheds the first tears.
